Come celebrate all things Pickle & Pint! On Saturday, August 16th, from 3 pm to 9 pm, Schlafly Bottleworks will be hosting the first annual Pickle & Pint Fest in Maplewood.
Schlafly will make a Specialty Pickle Beer available outside at the Draft Van. Expect some delicious Pickle Focused Foods: fried pickles, pickled pimento, jalapeno stuffed pickles, popcorn with pickle dust, etc.
We will have Pickle Shots and locally made pickle Beer Spears will be available. These pickle Beer Spears are available at all bars (inside and outside). Simply drop in a cup prior to pouring a beer of your choosing!
We are partnering with locally owned small business Two Men and A Garden. They will be providing us with the pickle brine for our Pickle Beer and Pickle Shots, plus the Beer Spears for your Schlafly Beer cup.
Pickleball courts, located on Southwest Avenues, will be free to use and open to the the public. We are hoping a few people from the St. Louis Shock (our professional pickleball team) will stop by.
As far as events throughout the day, expect: Live Music, a Pickle Demo (with electricity) courtesy of the St. Louis Science Center, and Canning Classes with Lydia Gwynn. We sure hope to see you!
Do I need tickets to attend?
Nope, no tickets required. This is a free event for all (including families and four-legged friends) to enjoy! Simply pay for whatever food and drink you want. No outside food and beverages please.
What styles of Schlafly Beer can I expect?
Get ready for your favorite Schlafly beers such as: Pale Ale, Just A Bit Hazy IPA, Kolsch, Raspberry Hefeweizen, Summer Lager, and a bunch of other can and draft beers including some seasonal favorites such as Crisp IPA and Imperial Passionfruit Tasmanian IPA.
Are other beverages available?
Beverages are available for purchase inside. Besides can and draft Schlafly Beer, we have a full bar with seltzers, cocktails, and more. Grab a drink and head outside to check out the festival!
What kind of food will be available?
Pickle & Pint Fest features festival-style food outside as well as our Schlafly menu, which is available inside Bottleworks restaurant, bar, and covered patio.
What about music?
We have a number of really great bands playing during Pickle & Pint Fest.
What forms of payment are you accepting?
Outside payment will be credit card only. We take both credit cards and cash inside at the restaurant and bar.
Is this event family friendly?
Pint & Pickle Fest is family-friendly and people of all ages are welcome. Please remember it is 21+ to drink. There are some louder areas with music and drinking, so please keep that in mind when bringing children.
Can I bring my dog?
Well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed, but just not in the vendor tents or inside Bottleworks. Please keep in mind that this event takes place on our parking lot with loud music, small kids, and large crowds.
Will seating be available or can I bring chairs?
We have picnic table areas where people can sit and relax outside. However, these tables fill up quickly and then rotate out as people come and go. You are welcome to bring your own camping chairs, but we ask that they are kept out of the main walkways and plenty of room is left for traffic flow and staff to work.
What is the parking situation?
Since this takes place on our parking lot, there is not much immediate parking available. There are several public lots nearby, as well as street parking. Please be respectful of our neighbors. We encourage public transportation, cabs, Uber, and biking.
