Take Public Transportation

Designated drivers are great but also consider taking St. Louis Metro Transit to and from the next Schlafly Beer event. There are Metrolink stops conveniently located near both of our breweries. It’s easy, affordable, and most of all safe.

Our Sustainable Initiatives

Although we are now seen as a leader in sustainability among local businesses, we are all too aware that there will always be more that we can do.

Here’s a sampling of a few things we’re proud of:

We have taken two abandoned buildings and put them back into use as the Schlafly Tap Room and Schlafly Bottleworks.
We grow some of our own food for our restaurants in the Schlafly Gardenworks, purchase a large amount of locally-produced food for our restaurants, and host a weekly Farmers Market.
We have put great effort into diverting solid waste from the landfill and we’ve received grants for a pilot composting project for post-consumer food waste at both the Schlafly Tap Room and Schlafly Bottleworks.
We are a charter supporter of Ameren’s Pure Power renewable energy program.
We use ultra high efficiency heating, ventilation and air-conditioning units.
Whenever possible, we make an effort to do business with local companies which reduces our carbon footprint.
We host and support many local Sustainability organizations such as St.Louis Earth Day, Slow Food St.Louis, BUILD St.Louis and St.Louis Originals.
