Schlafly Hefeweizen is an unfiltered ale. That means yeast and proteins are present to give it an opaque appearance.

Unfortunately, and no thanks to Isaac Newton, gravity takes its toll and causes the yeast and proteins to settle to the bottom. Therefore, it is necessary to shake the bottle as hard as you can before opening. Just kidding...

Pour a bit of the bottle into your glass, then gently swirl the bottle in order to attain that distinctive look we've all come to know and love. If you're drinking out of the bottle, don't worry...the beer will mix itself.

Also, this beer is unpasteurized (as are all of our bottled beers), making it more susceptible to death by heat. Please keep it refrigerated.
