Make This: Pumpkin Ale Pumpkin Bread

  • 1 lb. pumpkin puree
  • 6 oz. Schlafly Pumpkin Ale
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 4 oz. vegetable oil
  • 4 oz. melted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 cups sugar
  • lemon zest
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Butter and flour two large loaf pans and set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, Schlafly Pumpkin Ale, eggs, oil, melted butter, brown sugar, sugar and lemon zest. Mix thoroughly. 3. In a seperate bowl, sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and ginger. 4. Fold the flour mixture into the pumpkin and gently stir until just incorporated. 5. Transfer the batter into the loaf pans and bake for 45-50 minutes. 6. Thirty minutes into baking time, rotate loaves. 7. Loaves are finished when a toothpick or fork inserted into the loaf, comes out clean. 8. Let cool and enjoy.
