Art Outside premiered in 2004 and was a great success. The event featured 30 local artists, music from local bands, performance art, local films...even a fashion show. Schlafly Bottleworks provided a menu focused on local growers. The event's success revealed just how eager the community is for a venue for local, grass-roots culture.
